Hayduke's Dream

I was dreamin.
Half the night about tryin

to hook up a trailer, in your company.
I think we were
out in some east coast woods.
I couldn't quite get the truck and trailer to line up
and you wouldn't help
because you were wearing
some beautiful heirloom dress.
So i hollered 'So
why dont you take the darned thing off'
and that was the wrong thing to holler
because I've never seen
someone so furious in a dream.
